Fresh Fig and Goat Cheese Appetizers
Serves 4
1 4 – 5 inch whole wheat baguette, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons jelly or jam
3 fresh figs, thinly sliced
2 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
1 tablespoon almond slices, if desired, for garnish
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Arrange baguette slices on a cookie sheet. Thinly
spread jelly on top sides of slices. Place fig slices and goat cheese crumbles over jelly.
Garnish, if desired, with almond slices.
Bake in oven for 10 minutes, or until goat cheese begins
to soften.
Serve warm.
